The Emmys : An Award Show For Best Attire

The Emmys are a time when the stars of television come out to parade themselves and be awarded for their best outfits. Tuesday September 18th marks the 70th

event and boy, oh boy did some actors steal the show.

The spotlight this year was shed on Dunebug Sanders, who donned his stylish green lycra suit. The kicker, was when the host asked, “Dunebug, who are you wearing tonight?” With collected resolve, he answered simply, “I only wear Dunebug”. As reporters were baffled by his comment, they later found out that he had made the suit himself. Absolutely amazing. It did however get a bit awkward at one point when actress Jacklyn Lucidity inquired to a reporter, “have you seen my show?” To which a reporter replied, “I don’t watch television”; while another inquired, “you’re on television?”

Among the other winners, one star took home an award for a dazzling outfit consisting entirely of white feathers, which covered them from head to toe.

Initially, there was some difficulty in identifying the actor or actress as the speaker heralded, “the award goes to whoever that is in the white feathers”. Reports later confirmed that it was an actual peacock and the award has yet to be rescinded.

Actor Tim Splineskin offered, “that damn peacock deserved the award anyway, especially for wandering into the award ceremony with such grace”. It truly was an amazing spectacle as television superstars had yet again flocked together in a colourful congregation and towards a wonderful night.
